For audiences seeking authentic Western Swing with a modern edge, Cousin Cricket deliver a sound that honors tradition while staying fresh — a testament to decades of musical passion and devotion.

Norman Collins musical journey has included professional musical projects in some of the most famous recording studios in Nashville, Tennessee. These included the legendary RCA-Studio B. All roads eventually led to an introduction to Recording Artist and Chess Records (Chicago, Illinois) President, Hank Ballard, who hired Collins as a staff guitarist with many accredited contributions to the artist roster during his time at Chess Records. Norman Collins has been continuously touring from the beginning of his musical journey whether performing his own original songs or supporting other musical acts that have included Jimmy Buffett, Hank Ballard, John Hiatt, and other notable national acts.

Peter Wilson is an award winning singer/songwriter/guitarist playing music from his upcoming Para-Sight release “PeterWilsonWorld”. He’s member of the Deadbeats – a long running tip-of-the-hat to the music and songs of the Grateful Dead. He’s a founding member of Paul Emery’s 1000 Kisses Deep – The Songs of Leonard Cohen. Along with his songwriting cohorts, Mountain John Hilligoss and Moe Dixon, he’s written scores of songs, toured and released a studio CD – Troubadour Camp. His vintage rock and roll band, The Pyramids, have played music for dancing and having fun since 1986.  He’ll be joined by legendary guitarist John Girton.

PSR Sampler Concert and Commemorative CD
The Para-Sight Records 2026 Sampler Concert and Commemorative CD are a celebration of indie grass roots generated music made by real people, playing real instruments. We feel this is very needed in this era of AI and over produced corporate content. In conjuction with Paul Emery Music we are proud to bring you an evening with three very real, honest and soulful acts. We are following in the tradition of Bill Graham by bringing a multi act lineup of varied genres to the Nevada Theater. We hope to have more of these showcases in the future. What all of these act have in common is that they were all recorded and coproduced by Paul Kraushaar. This event is also a celebration of Paul’s 40 years of creative commitment to the world of music, the artists, the creations and the listeners enjoyment.

Paul Kraushaar is a highly respected recording engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer, and songwriter whose career spans more than three decades. Based in Grass Valley, California, he is the owner and chief engineer of PSR Recording Studio, a warm, musician-friendly facility known for its relaxed atmosphere and finely tuned acoustics. Trained in the era of analog tape and later among the earliest adopters of digital audio workstation technology in the United States, Paul bridges the sensibilities of classic studio craft with the versatility of modern production.

Paul’s career has taken him across the studio and live-sound worlds. As a live and FOH engineer, he has mixed for numerous major artists in venues and touring environments, including work for Lyle Lovett, Michael Franti, Tony Orlando, and a wide range of national acts in country, blues, jazz, and rock. His deep technical knowledge, paired with a musician’s instincts, has made him a trusted presence behind the console for both established performers and emerging artists.

PSR Recording Studio is the project studio of engineer/producer Paul Kraushaar, located in downtown Grass Valley, California. The studio offers a relaxed and intimate atmosphere with state-of-the-art equipment. To accommodate production needs, PSR Recording offers professional instruments including grand piano, vintage drums, amps, classic guitars, electronic keyboards, samplers, drum modules, loop libraries and more. PSR offers the option of tracking at Ancient Wave Studios in Nevada City, California. Paul has worked as an in-house engineer and producer at AWS for many years. On several projects tracking has been done at AWS and finished off with overdubs and mixing at PSR. Having access to both studios ensures that the artist’s needs are met and also helps reduce the cost by using both recording facilites.

Paul Kraushaar is a seasoned recording engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger, and composer — the owner-operator of PSR Recording Studio in Grass Valley, California. With over 30 years in the business, he was trained in the days of analog tape and grew into becoming one of the early adopters of digital audio work systems in the United States.

At PSR, Paul offers a relaxed, intimate studio environment ideal for overdubs, post-production, and tracking for individuals or small bands. The facility includes a control room, main room, drum or isolation room, amp isolation room, and comfortable amenities such as a deck, shaded seating, kitchenette, and restroom.

Paul comes from a musician’s background — throughout his career, he has toured with major-label acts and played in more than 50 bands across diverse styles. His history as a studio musician informs his work as an engineer/producer, allowing him to contribute instrumentation to his clients’ projects, and offering them a deeply musical, artist-focused recording experience.

For larger sessions — such as full-band recordings or ensemble tracking — Paul leverages his longtime affiliation with Ancient Wave Studios in Nevada City, California, combining that capacity with PSR’s mixing and overdub capabilities to meet varied production needs while managing cost and flexibility.

Whether you’re a solo artist or a small band, Paul’s decades of experience, combined with his sensibilities as a player and a producer, make PSR Recording Studio a compelling choice for realizing a polished, artist-driven sound.
