An Evening of Acoustic Music

Last year, so starved for live music and lonely for our local artists, KVMR made a special holiday CD, featuring local musicians. Nineteen local artists donated traditional and original songs and stories for the CD, “Just For Yule.” Now, we can’t wait to get together for the holidays and share some cheer in downtown Nevada City’s historic Nevada Theatre. When KVMR built our permanent home adjacent to the theater, we also provided 1600 square feet of backstage area and an elevator, bringing the 19th century theater into the 21st century by providing ADA access to the stage. Victorians weren’t big on closet space, and the backstage used to be little more than a breezeway, about 4 feet deep.
