The Dolli Mamas: Anni McCann, Elena Rayo, and Cherisha Heart live in Concert
Three songbirds come together to sing originals and favorites in three part harmonies, acoustic guitars, piano and fiddle. Anni, Elena and Heart are all Nevada County based award-winning songwriters who are longtime favorites on the local music scene. The three generations come together for a special evening at the Besemer Hall with its beautiful acoustics. Not to be missed!
Multi-instrumentalist and international performing/recording artist, Anni McCann, holds a bachelor of music degree, trained in opera and musical theater, as well as being a versatile vocal stylist. Best known for her work with the folk-jazz trio, Backwoods Jazz, and Supertramps Roger Hodgson, her decades of professional experience include performing for such notables as the Queen of England. Currently, she is a featured vocalist in the 1,000 Kisses Deep Leonard Cohen tribute show, highlighting her unique rendition of Hallelujah. Anni also performs solo and enjoys composing her own nature-inspirational songs, accompanying herself on guitar and piano. She has released two solo albums, This Moment and Open Page.
Elena Rayo is a lifelong musician on violin and guitar, a singer and songwriter who has released 6 albums and performed internationally. Recently Elena produced and sang a tribute to Joni Mitchell, and is currently recording a new album. Her education includes degrees in Classical Languages from UC-Berkeley, Cambridge University, and UCLA. She owns recording facility Ancient Wave Studios in Nevada City.
Armed with a powerful voice and melodic sound rooted in Indie Rock, Cherisha Heart is a force on stage. She charms audiences with her refreshing original tunes and guitar skills. With a guitar in her hands at age 3, she began learning chords at 9 and took up songwriting by age 12. She co-fronts Outlaws and Angels, a local country band, and is a guitarist and vocalist for New Zealand-based retro rock band, Zephyr Love, fronted by her brother. Her solo debut album, Mountain Maiden, was released in 2011, followed by single, Dreams (July 2019), EP, “The Good Life” (February 2021), single Aniwaniwa (August 2024) and now shes ready to take her own original band on the road, showcasing brand new songs from her upcoming album, Slow Burn, yet to be released.
